Swim Party:
All coaches, players, siblings & parents are invited to join TCSA Board of Directors for some fun in the sun on Saturday, May 25th at The Colony Aquatic Center , N.Colony Street (between Morningstar & Paige Rd) from 5:30-7:30PM. Each team is encouraged to use this time to celebrate the season with their team parties. Any food and drinks are welcomed to be brought, TCSA will not provide these- only the facility rental. No RSVP is needed, just show up. Admission is FREE!!! Don’t forget your sunscreen, bathing suit and beach towels.

Scoreboards @ 5-Star:
For three weeks, the scoreboards on both Red & Grey fields have not been working. The controllers were sent back to the maker to try and get repaired. Unfortunately, repair at this time is not an option. Each controller cost $1500. TCSA has ordered two new controllers, total cost $3000.00. Please note this is where the Spring fundraiser money will be spent. These new controllers will be up and ready for use the start of Fall 2013 season.

2013-2014 TCSA Board Elections:
TCSA yearly Board of Director election meeting will be held June 3rd, 2013-Blue Rm 6:30PM @ TC Parks & Rec Center. All board positions are open. If you would like to make a difference in your community and among your youth sports, please step up and volunteer. These positions do require many volunteer hours and dedication. Positions available: Vice President, Treasurer, UIC, Equipment, Players/Coaches Agent, Sponsorship, Fundraiser, Special Events, Division Director, Secretary, Scheduler, Webmaster, BlastBall

A new position we will acquire starting this year will be 5-Star Field Directors. This is a great opportunity for those who do want to help volunteer but cannot commit to an everyday/every season duty as listed above. This position duties will be to assist for board duty during the season, preparing the field before the start of games, setting up the scoreboard/scorebooks, greeting teams upon taking field, putting out water coolers for both teams and tear down when games are over at end of evening. This position can be as often or not as you like and are available.

Closing Ceremonies & Battle of the Coaches Game:
Closing ceremonies will be held at TC 5-Star on Grey field June 5th, 2013-6PM start. At this time, all players and coaches will be announced and teams will be given trophies/medals as placement for the season. Please have all players come with team jerseys on. We will also draw 3 players to receive our ‘Candy Award’- 5lbs chocolate bar. As we do every season, after the awards are given, we will have the end of season ‘Battle of the Coaches game’. All coaches are encouraged to participate. Each team can have 2 (and ONLY 2!) coaches sign up. Waivers must be signed before game and you take the field. RSVP to play is needed. Please email those to: President@thecolonysoftball.com no later than Tuesday, June 4th to participate.

Rockwall Girls Softball Association MEMORIAL DAY RECREATIONAL TOURNAMENT

RGSA Memorial Day Rec Only Tournament:May 25-26, 2013
$275 8U and 10U (one umpire)
$325 for 12U and 14U (two umpires)

Details:Teams will be divided into pools. 5 games per team.All games will be 75 mins. finish the inning if needed.5 runs max per half inning
(10U & 12U only)Unlimited runs per half inning
(14U & older)Run rules are 12,10 and 8 after innings 3,4 and 5.
Games CAN end in a tie.Ties will count as half win and half loss in standings.
1st place team in each pool will receive team and individual trophies.
