Recreation League Softball
TCSA teams consist of girls ages 3-15 years old. The teams compete in the Denton County Interlock League which includes teams from The Colony, Little Elm, Lewisville, Highland Village and Lake Cities.
4U Tee-Ball - 50 Minute time limit; Ages 3-4; No scores/standings kept. Instructional league.

6U Modified Coach Pitch - 50 Minute time limit; 3 coach pitches and 3 swings off tee (or any combination of 6 attempts to put the ball in play); No scores/standings kept. Instructional league.

8U Modified Kid Pitch - 70 Minute time limit, finish the inning; kid pitcher pitches normal strike count up to a maximum of 3 balls; coach pitcher inherits strike count; pitching distance 30 feet; No steals allowed; Scores/Standings kept.

10U Kid Pitch - 70 Minute time limit, finish the inning; straight kid pitch; pitching distance 35 feet; stealing is limited to one base per pitch, including home.

12U Kid Pitch - 70 Minute time limit, finish the inning; follows USA Softball rules; Pitching distance 40 feet.

TCSA Rules are governed by USA Softball Official Rules of Fast Pitch Softball, with league approved exceptions/modifications.
Where
Where are practices and games typically held?
Practices are normally held at The Colony recreation fields. The teams compete in the Denton County Interlock League which includes teams from The Colony, Little Elm, Lewisville, Highland Village and Lake Cities. Home games will be played will be played at The Colony Five Star Complex.
When
What time of the year does this program run?
Each year there is a Spring and Fall Season league. Spring season runs February-May and Fall runs August-November.
Games
How many games will they play? What days of the week?
Teams will play 10-12 regular season games over the course of the season and will mostly be played on Saturday's with the occasional weeknight game. 8U-15U teams will also compete in the DCI Tournaments held in both the Spring and Fall season.
Practices
When are practices and how often are they?
Pre-season practices are held 2 times a week. After the regular season teams will normally practice 1 time a week.
Jerseys
Are jerseys provided or are they purchased separately?
Registration fees covers the cost of each players jersey.
Extra Costs
What costs beyond registration fees should be expected?
Each player will need a glove, bat, batters helmet, *fielders mask, softball pants/socks/cleats. 4U-6U players are not required to have cleats and softball pants but will need to have matching colored pants. Some donated equipment may be available.
